Haiku

When even the wind
does not refresh, I need the kind
words of my close friends.

Another patio day

Pastel circles and squares tinkle with each slight breeze on my mother’s patio.
An oversized clock hangs on the wall with Roman numerals although I don’t take time to read the time.
A gnome moons us and a violet orchid keeps on blooming on the playground where I let me thoughts loose to roam.
Just another spring day on the patio.
