I have been working hard this last week and finally got a day off. It has been a lovely rainy week, which made me feel more reflective than usual. On my day off, I went to the library and checked out an excellent book called “Tides” by Jonathan White. The more you know about the mystery of the tides, the less you know. I can’t wait to find out more. I didn’t realize the Pacific Ocean was more in tune with the sun, and the Atlantic Ocean is more in tune with the moon. I have had a relaxing day and took my house plants out on the deck to get some fresh rain water. I am sorry this haiku is so uninspired, but some days are like that I suppose. Well, to anyone reading this, I hope you too have a rainy day for yourself every once in awhile to collect your thoughts and read and get caught up on laundry.

Resting my soft bones
on a rainy day feels like
the perfect pillow.
