Five Haiku

Tainted by the muck,
I sank in his eyes and drowned
in disapproval.

But at the bottom,
I saw a different view
full of odd beauty.

Some thrive in the cold
waters where fish are unknown
and for me the cold

meant a purity
in depths of the wild breaths
and waveless swimming.

I saw silver stars
when all said to look skyward
I looked deep, deep down.

And I was joyful.
